Machine floor scrubbing and cleaning in Brno

We offer machine floor cleaning in Brno for apartment building corridors, halls, offices, schools, nurseries, warehouses and workshops. We scrub tiles, linoleum and poured concrete, as a one-off job or regularly. The machine scrubs the floor and vacuums the dirt straight up, so the surface gets closer to its original colour.

Who it is for:

  • owners’ associations
  • housing cooperatives
  • companies
  • public institutions
Machine cleaning of a tiled corridor: dirty floor on the left, clean on the right

What the service includes

  • washing poured concrete in warehouses, workshops and halls
  • washing floors in schools and nurseries
  • sweeping or vacuuming the area first
  • finishing corners, skirting and edges along the walls by hand
  • one-off scrubbing of heavily soiled floors
  • regular machine scrubbing to an agreed plan

When a mop is not enough

The floor in a building entrance or a hall takes a huge number of footsteps every day. Ordinary mopping only removes surface dirt. The rest gradually settles into the pores of the tiles, the grout lines and the fine scratches in linoleum. The floor then looks grey, even though it is mopped regularly.

That is when machine floor cleaning helps. A mop largely just spreads the dirt around and leaves some of the dirty water on the floor. A scrubber-dryer, on the other hand, scrubs the surface with rotating brushes and vacuums the dirty water back into its tank in a single pass. The dirt really leaves the floor instead of being pushed into the joints.

Who we clean floors for

Owners’ associations (SVJ) and housing cooperatives. In the common areas of buildings we scrub the tiles in entrances, corridors and on landings. Machine scrubbing goes well with regular apartment building cleaning: once in a while it brings back the colour of the floor, and in between ordinary cleaning is enough.

Companies and business premises. We wash the floors of halls, offices, warehouses, workshops and other commercial spaces. For companies, machine scrubbing can be combined with office cleaning.

Schools and nurseries. We also offer machine scrubbing to schools and nurseries with large areas of corridors and classrooms. It is a good idea to plan it for the holidays or for days when there is less going on.

Surfaces we clean by machine

Tiles

Ceramic tiles are the most common floor in building corridors and company entrances. The grout lines take the most work, as that is where dirt clings longest. The scrubber’s brush gets into the joints better than a mop, so after scrubbing the tiles look an even colour again.

Linoleum

Linoleum and similar resilient floors are more sensitive to harsh chemicals and too much water. So we choose a gentle cleaning product and a softer brush. The water is vacuumed up straight away, so it does not soak into the seams or under the edges.

Poured concrete

You will find poured concrete in warehouses, workshops, halls and modern interiors. It is hard-wearing but porous and soaks up dust easily. Machine scrubbing cleans it to a depth that mopping by hand cannot reach.

How machine floor scrubbing works

  1. We sweep or vacuum the area so the machine does not spread coarse dirt around.
  2. We choose the right brush and cleaning product for the surface.
  3. We run the scrubber over the floor in slightly overlapping strips.
  4. We finish corners, skirting and the areas behind doors by hand.
  5. When we are done, we check the floor together with you.

We point out wet areas while we work. In business premises we agree which parts we will wash in which order, so that people can still get through.

How often and to what plan

How many times a year a floor needs machine scrubbing depends mainly on how much traffic it gets. The entrance of an apartment building with one stairwell needs it at longer intervals than a hall that many people walk through every day. In autumn and winter, mud, sand and salt are carried into buildings, so it makes sense to plan scrubbing for the spring.

We agree dates according to your operations and the time of year. With regular machine scrubbing the floor stays in good condition and each clean takes less time.

Machine scrubbing in warehouses and workshops

In warehouses and workshops floors get dirty in a different way from apartment buildings. Trolley wheels, footwear and dust from goods or production leave smears and marks that mopping only spreads around. For large areas we therefore offer machine scrubbing section by section, so there is no need to stop everything.

For companies a combination works well: ordinary cleaning keeps things clean day to day, and machine scrubbing every so often removes what has settled deeper.

Our own machines and equipment

We arrive with our own scrubber, brushes, cleaning products and tools. You do not need to borrow or buy anything. All we need from you is access to electricity and water. We prepare a quote free of charge, whether it is for a one-off clean or regular work together.

What we need from you

  • access to the space at the agreed time,
  • a power socket and a place where we can fill and empty water,
  • the area cleared to the agreed extent,
  • information about the surface, if you know it (for example the type of tiles).

How we keep an eye on quality

Before scrubbing we look at the floor and tell you what result is realistic. At the end we walk the floor with you. If something is not right, we clean the spot again or agree how to proceed.

The result for you

A clean floor is the first thing visitors to a building or customers on your premises notice. Machine scrubbing brings it closer to its original colour and helps it last longer.

We sum up what determines the price on our page about tailored cleaning prices. Need an underground garage cleaned? Have a look at machine garage cleaning. We will prepare a quote for your floors once you send us a no-obligation request.

How we work together

  1. Your request

Tell us what kind of space it is, what the floor is made of and roughly how many square metres it covers. A photo of the floor helps us a lot.

  2. Looking at the floor

We look at the floor on site. We check the material, how dirty it is and whether the scrubber can reach everywhere it needs to.

  3. Quote

We prepare a quote for a one-off clean or a regular plan and agree a date that will not disrupt your operations.

  4. Machine scrubbing

We sweep or vacuum the area first, then wash it with the machine and finish the edges by hand. Afterwards we check the floor together with you.

What affects the price

We prepare a tailored price once the scope is clear. It mainly depends on:

  • size of the area in square metres
  • type of surface (tiles, linoleum or poured concrete)
  • how dirty the floor is
  • how clear and accessible the area is for the scrubber
  • a one-off clean or a regular plan

Frequently asked questions

Which types of floor do you clean by machine?

We machine-scrub tiles, linoleum and poured concrete. For other surfaces we take a look first and tell you whether machine cleaning suits them. We would rather warn you in advance than damage the surface.

Do we have to stop work while the floors are machine-scrubbed?

Usually not completely. In smaller spaces it is enough to clear the section for a short while. In larger halls we can work in sections or at a time when things are quieter.

How long does a floor take to dry after machine scrubbing?

The machine vacuums up most of the water straight away, so the floor is dry within a short time. The exact time depends on the material, the temperature and ventilation. We point out any wet sections while we work.

Is one machine scrub enough, or does it need repeating?

A one-off scrub brings back the look a floor has lost through everyday mopping. Whether and when to repeat it, we will recommend based on how quickly the floor gets dirty again.

Can you machine-scrub the floors in narrow apartment building corridors?

Yes, as long as the scrubber fits and we can get it up to the floor in question. Stairs and tight spots the machine cannot reach we finish by hand. We assess what can be done by machine when we look round.

Are photos enough for a floor scrubbing quote?

Photos help us get a first idea. For larger areas, though, we come and look at the floor, because a photo does not show the material, how dirty it is or how the scrubber will get in.

Would you like a no-obligation quote?

Tell us what needs cleaning or give us a call. The consultation is free and we will tailor the quote to your needs.
