Apartment building cleaning in Jundrov

Jundrov between the Svratka and the forest
Jundrov is a former village that became part of Brno in 1919. Its name comes from a shortened form of the German Judendorf, and between 1850 and 1867 it was briefly joined with Žabovřesky. It lies on the right bank of the Svratka, with the land rising gently from the river to the wooded hills below which the Jundrov estate stands. The district also takes in a small north-western corner of Pisárky and the Veslařská area. Around 4,600 people live on its 4.22 km².

We agree with the committee which areas we will keep clear. We recommend signing the contract in the autumn, before the first snow falls.

What we look out for in Jundrov
Between river and forest
Jundrov lies on the right bank of the Svratka, and the ground rises from the river towards the wooded hills above the estate. Buildings higher up the slope are reached by uphill paths, which means more snow work in winter.
A village changed by the estate
The local history book Starý Jundrov (Old Jundrov) describes how the housing construction of the 1970s fundamentally changed the skyline and character of the original village. Prefab blocks and older houses now stand side by side, and each type needs a different scope of cleaning.
Obora Holedná and Mladá Hora
The hills above the estate belong to obora Holedná, a game park. Mladá Hora, with its allotments and weekend cottages, lies on Jundrov land too, although in 1995 it was assigned to the Kohoutovice district. The forest begins right behind the last houses.

Yes. With buildings on a slope we pay most attention to the steps and ramps leading to the entrances, where snow tends to stay. We walk them with the committee during the visit and include them in the scope of both cleaning and winter maintenance.
Who clears the snow from the pavement in front of our building in Jundrov?
According to the Brno-Jundrov district website, roads with public transport routes are kept by Brněnské komunikace, the city road company, and other local roads and pavements by a contractor of the district. Areas on the building’s own land, such as the entrance, steps or yard, are usually not in the plan, and those we can look after.
With the forest so close, does a garage in Jundrov need cleaning more often?
It depends on how many cars park there and where they come from. Near the forest and on the slope, cars bring more leaves and mud into the garage, especially in autumn. We therefore suggest the frequency only after a visit and adjust it with the committee during the first months if needed.
