Carpet, sofa and upholstery cleaning in Brno

We do carpet and sofa cleaning in Brno with an extraction machine, a method also known as shampooing. We clean sofas, armchairs, upholstered chairs and carpets in homes, offices and public spaces. We remove dust, dust mites, grease and odours from the fabric that an ordinary vacuum cleaner cannot pull out.

Who it is for:

  • households
  • companies
  • public institutions

Why sofas and carpets need thorough cleaning

Sofas and carpets are among the things we use most at home. Every day dust, crumbs, hair and skin flakes fall into them. The fabric absorbs smells from cooking and from pets, and grease from hands builds up on the armrests. A vacuum cleaner only removes what lies on the surface.

Regular thorough cleaning has several benefits:

  • Fewer dust mites and allergens. Dust mites live in the lower layers of the upholstery. Extraction cleaning greatly reduces their numbers.
  • Grease and dirt removed. Grubby armrests, backrests and seats get their original colour back.
  • Fewer odours. Smells from food, smoke and pets are removed together with the dirt they cling to.
  • A longer life. Dust and sand in fabric act like an abrasive. Clean fabric and filling last longer.
  • A better look. A freshly cleaned sofa or carpet makes the whole room look better.

How sofa and carpet cleaning works

We clean sofas and carpets with an extraction machine. It sprays a cleaning solution into the fabric under pressure and almost immediately sucks it back out, together with the dissolved dirt. This method is known as shampooing. The dirt really leaves the fabric instead of being smeared around inside it.

We always work in the same order:

  1. We vacuum the sofa or carpet thoroughly to remove crumbs and hair.
  2. We check the material and the label and test the product on a hidden spot.
  3. We pre-treat stains with a suitable product.
  4. We clean the whole surface with the extraction machine, slowly and in overlapping strips.
  5. We advise you on how to let the furniture dry.

Who we clean sofas and carpets for

Homes. We clean sofas, armchairs and carpets in flats and family houses. Cleaning is a good idea after the winter, before visitors arrive or when children or pets have left their mark on the sofa.

Offices and companies. Upholstered office chairs, sofas in waiting rooms and carpets in meeting rooms get dirty faster than you might think. Cleaning can be combined with regular office cleaning.

Public spaces. We also offer cleaning to cinemas, cultural centres, nurseries and after-school clubs. Many people use the same furniture and carpets there every day, so regular cleaning matters even more than at home.

How often to repeat the cleaning

The recommended frequency depends mainly on who uses the furniture:

  • homes with children, allergy or asthma sufferers, or pets: at least three times a year,
  • public spaces (cinemas, cultural centres, nurseries, after-school clubs): at least three times a year,
  • ordinary homes without allergy sufferers or pets: once a year.

Between cleanings it is enough to vacuum the sofa and carpets regularly and deal with stains straight away, while they are fresh. An old stain is always harder to remove.

Cleaning at your home

We come with the extraction machine and all the equipment we need. The sofa and the carpet stay where they are. Nothing has to be carried out or transported. For one sofa or a smaller carpet, a description and a few photos are enough for a quote. When we finish, we tidy up after ourselves and explain how to look after the cleaned fabric so it stays clean for as long as possible.

Carpet cleaning

A carpet holds far more dirt than you can see. Sand, dust and crumbs fall between the fibres down to the backing and gradually wear it out. Regular vacuuming removes only part of it. Extraction cleaning cleans the fibres along their whole length, and the carpet then looks brighter and feels softer.

Large carpeted areas in companies can be cleaned in sections, so there is no need to close a whole floor. A carpet takes a while to dry after cleaning, so we agree a time when nobody needs to walk on it for a while.

What to watch out for

Not every material can be treated the same way. Cotton and synthetic fabrics clean well with an extraction machine. Leather, silk or some special covers need a different approach. That is why we always check the label and the surface before cleaning.

If extraction cleaning is not suitable, we tell you straight away and do not risk damaging the fabric.

How we keep an eye on quality

Before we start, we tell you what result is realistic for your fabric and stains. If a stain cannot be removed completely, we tell you in advance. After cleaning, have a look at the result with us. If you are not happy with anything, tell us straight away while we are still with you.

A family company from Bystrc

Your sofas and carpets are cleaned by a family company from Bystrc that has been cleaning since 2015. Besides sofas and carpets, we look after apartment buildings, offices and windows. What affects the price of cleaning is explained on our page about tailored cleaning prices. We will agree a date for your sofa or carpet after you send us a no-obligation request for a quote.

How we work together

  1. Your request

Tell us what needs cleaning, for example a corner sofa, two armchairs and the living room carpet. A photo and details of the fabric help us.

  2. Visit and quote

We ask about the material, the stains and whether anyone at home has allergies or there are pets. If needed we come and have a look, prepare a quote and agree a date.

  3. Cleaning on site

We vacuum the furniture, pre-treat the stains and clean the fabric with the extraction machine. At the end we tell you how to let the furniture dry.

What affects the price

We prepare a tailored price once the scope is clear. It mainly depends on:

  • the size of the sofa and the number of seats
  • the number of armchairs, chairs and other pieces of furniture
  • the area of carpet
  • the type of fabric and how dirty it is
  • the number and type of stains

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between ordinary cleaning and extraction cleaning of a sofa?

Shampooing a sofa usually means extraction cleaning. Unlike vacuuming or foam cleaning, it also cleans the lower layers of the upholstery that ordinary products cannot reach.

How long does a sofa take to dry after extraction cleaning?

The extraction machine sucks out most of the water, but the fabric stays damp for a while. How long it takes to dry depends on the material, the temperature and ventilation. We recommend airing the room and not sitting on the furniture until the fabric is dry to the touch.

How often should a sofa be cleaned?

For an ordinary household, once a year is enough. In homes with children, allergy or asthma sufferers or pets, and in public spaces, we recommend at least three times a year.

Can you clean a leather sofa?

Leather is not cleaned with an extraction machine in the same way as fabric. With leather and other delicate materials we first check the label and the surface and tell you whether and how we can clean them.

Will you remove every stain from the sofa?

Most everyday stains from food, drinks or mud will be greatly reduced or removed. Old stains that have discoloured the fabric may not disappear completely. Before we start, we tell you what you can expect.

Do you also clean sofas and carpets in nurseries or cinemas?

Yes, we also offer cleaning to nurseries, after-school clubs, cinemas and cultural centres. We agree a time outside opening hours, so the cleaning does not get in anyone’s way and the fabric has time to dry.

Do I need to prepare anything before the sofa is cleaned?

Just clear some space around the sofa and put away cushions and small items you do not want cleaned. We bring our own extraction machine, products and equipment. All we need from you is electricity and water.

Would you like a no-obligation quote?

Tell us what needs cleaning or give us a call. The consultation is free and we will tailor the quote to your needs.
